Unlocking Warwick – the Court House 300 Years
5 October @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
£12.00

A presentation by Unlocking Warwick celebrating the tercentenary of the famous Warwick Court House.
From benefactor Thomas Oken, who became the first Mayor of Warwick, and Francis Smith – the architect of much
of the rebuilding of the town following the Great Fire of 1694 – who designed and built the Court House in 1725,
to the Burgesses ejected from the building not long after it was completed, we explore three centuries of Warwick history.
There will also be an opportunity to see the ceremonial maces and other regalia accompanying the Mayor and the
Burgesses of the ancient Court Leet.
